Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders in clients.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with clients' unique needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Provide educational support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices.

• Monitor client progress carefully, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for your clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance your therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance with mental health documentation standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops to enhance your clinical skills.

• Advocate for clients' needs and work to reduce stigma related to mental health and mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your clients may also include members of marginalized groups, such as the homeless, refugees, or those affected by domestic violence. Your approach should be characterized by empathy, a nonjudgmental attitude, and a strong commitment to fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
