You will work closely with law enforcement, medical professionals, and mental health staff to coordinate care and implement crisis intervention strategies.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide immediate short-term crisis counseling for non-violent patients experiencing mental health episodes, offering both support and strategies for stabilization.
\n
• Respond alongside law enforcement on mental health calls, utilizing your clinical skills to assess situations and lend expertise in de-escalation techniques.
\n
• Facilitate training sessions for police staff to equip them with the necessary skills to handle mental health crises among arrestees while minimizing the use of force.
\n
• Manage case coordination with various third-party entities, including the Department of Mental Health and local psychiatric facilities, to ensure continuity of care for patients.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient interactions, using electronic health record (EHR) systems to track progress and treatment plans.
\n
• Engage in clear communication with law enforcement, crisis stabilization units (CSUs), hospitals, and psychiatrists to facilitate comprehensive patient care.

• Assist police officers in conducting psychiatric evaluations in the field, assessing the need for 5150 and 5585 applications for involuntary detention when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LPCC at Peaceful Harmony, Inc., you will work with a broad range of patients, including arrestees and other community members facing mental health challenges. Your role is pivotal in connecting these individuals with appropriate resources, guiding them through crises, and ensuring they find a path toward recovery. Your understanding of sociocultural factors and individual circumstances will be essential in developing tailored interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, along with appropriate licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• Demonstrated clinical experience, particularly in psychiatric settings or with crisis intervention.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required.

• Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to demonstrate integrity in all interactions.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations, showcasing a positive attitude throughout.

Peaceful Harmony, Inc. offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $122,000 per year for this full-time position.
