Job Overview Our client, a fast-growing boutique law firm in Boca Raton, is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Bookkeeper to support the firm's day-to-day accounting operations oniste. This newly created position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll play an important role supporting the firm's continued success. Working closely with the individual who oversees the firm's accounting function, you'll manage daily bookkeeping, billing, payroll, trust accounting, and other financial operations. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll (Paylocity) Maintain and reconcile operating and client trust (IOLTA) accounts Process trust deposits, trust transfers, and retainer replenishments Coordinate bi-monthly client billing Perform bank and trust reconciliations Assist with month-end close and financial reporting Utilize Smokeball legal software Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a bookkeeper or senior bookkeeper within a professional services environment, preferably within a law firm Experience with client trust, escrow, or fiduciary accounting is a plus Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail This role is 100% onsite Compensation & Benefits $75,000–$85,000 , depending on experience Discretionary annual bonus Health benefits 401(k) with employer match after one year Paid time off and holidays Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Application Question(s) How many years of bookkeeping/accounting experience do you have in a professional services environment (legal, CPA, consulting, engineering, architecture, wealth management, healthcare, etc.)?
