Experienced Physician Assistant for Surgical Center

Position Overview

Premier Health PA Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team at our Surgical Center located in Clifton Park, New York. In this pivotal role, the PA will assess, diagnose, and implement comprehensive medical care for patients in collaboration with supervising physicians. You will operate within the full scope of your licensure, ensuring accountability for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of care, which encompasses direct patient interactions, patient and family education, as well as managing transitions of care.

Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center in Clifton Park. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and meticulously review patients' medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to inform clinical decisions.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of health conditions, allowing for immediate intervention and care.
• Develop tailored treatment plans addressing both chronic and acute health issues.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
• Maintain accurate, organized patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.
• Promote healthy lifestyle practices and collaborate with patients to maintain their overall health and well-being.
• Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and clinical competencies through ongoing professional development and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will provide care to a diverse patient population, including those undergoing surgical procedures and those requiring post-operative follow-up. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Experience working in a family health clinic or similar healthcare setting is required.
• Strong background in family medicine is essential for this position.
• Knowledge of health regulations and patient care standards.
• Excellent communication skills, facilitating effective patient interactions.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Physician Assistant position offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
