Work Environment

The successful candidate will operate primarily in our Surgical Center, a facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support a wide variety of interventional pain management techniques. Our onsite, full-time position offers structured hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance while ensuring you can fully engage with our patients and medical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients experiencing acute and chronic pain, utilizing established medical protocols.
• Order diagnostic imaging when necessary to inform treatment strategies, and perform physical examinations to assess patient conditions.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans, integrating non-narcotic medications and prescribed physical therapy as needed.
• Schedule and assist with interventional procedures, showcasing expertise in managing patient flow and ensuring smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records, ensuring documentation reflects current treatments and patient progress.
• Actively collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team to enhance communication and service delivery through regular case discussions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve adults experiencing a broad range of pain issues, including but not limited to, post-operative pain, neuropathic pain, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will play a key role in alleviating their discomfort and improving their quality of life through evidence-based approaches and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a closely related field is required.
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York is essential.
• You should possess excellent communication skills to convey medical information clearly to patients and their families.
• Demonstrable proficiency in examining patients, diagnosing illnesses, and implementing treatment plans effectively.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team is vital for success in this position.

Preferred Experience

• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a patient-facing role, with preference given to candidates who have worked in pain management or related specialties.
• Experience in a surgical or outpatient setting is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
