Work Environment

This position is set in our modern outpatient office, designed for maximum comfort and efficiency for both our staff and patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including obtaining detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations as per protocol established by the supervising physician.
• Manage follow-up visits autonomously, ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines for incident reporting and patient safety.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records during each appointment, facilitating high-quality documentation and communication across care teams.
• Evaluate diagnostic test results to develop recommendations for follow-up care and additional treatment pathways tailored to patient needs.
• Design and implement medical care plans under physician supervision, addressing patient concerns, and adjusting treatment recommendations based on clinical efficacy.
• Uphold productivity metrics while delivering exemplary care that aligns with clinic standards, ensuring optimal patient satisfaction and safety.
• Act as a resource for patients by providing education on ongoing treatment options, medications, and self-management strategies to empower their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves a diverse patient population experiencing a myriad of pain-related conditions. Patients may range from those suffering from acute post-surgical pain to individuals struggling with chronic illnesses or injuries. Your expertise will play a crucial role in guiding patients toward improved health through innovative pain management strategies.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active and valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pain management or similar settings with a focus on physical examinations and treatment methodologies.
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and familiarity with electronic practice management systems.
• Basic competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
• A capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while proactively addressing challenges and developing solutions.

Preferred Experience

Experience in providing care within a pain management setting is preferred but not required. Additional certifications in pain management or related areas are a plus, as is familiarity with advanced pain management therapies and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits
