Insightful Journeys Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team. Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, with the flexibility to work from home while adhering to a structured schedule of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasionally, evening shifts may be required to accommodate the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents, utilizing standardized tools and personal interviews.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique developmental stages and family dynamics of each patient, ensuring that the care plan remains flexible to adapt to changing needs.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention techniques, to support young individuals in navigating their mental health challenges.

• Deliver family therapy sessions that engage parents and caregivers, empowering them with skills to cultivate a nurturing environment for their children.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure coordinated holistic care for patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, facilitating informed decisions regarding care.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate records for treatment continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and various behavioral issues. By focusing on early intervention and evidence-based strategies, your expertise will directly contribute to fostering healthier futures for our young clients and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, with proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities that can be applied effectively with young populations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and child-centered approach to therapy.
\n
• Ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families through empathetic engagement and support.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Capable of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience, particularly working with children and adolescents in a counseling or therapy setting.

• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and play therapy techniques is preferred.

• Experience in crisis intervention and managing emergency mental health situations involving children and adolescents is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
