Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, evaluating their emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions in individual or family therapy sessions to address identified mental health concerns.

• Collaborate regularly with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that your patients receive a coordinated, comprehensive approach to care.

• Provide crisis intervention services to young patients experiencing immediate mental health challenges.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, empowering them with knowledge about treatment options and community resources.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in team meetings and case consultations to share insights and stay updated on the latest best practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be children and adolescents, a pediatric demographic experiencing various mental health challenges. Treatment may involve assisting young patients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders, directly impacting their emotional health and overall well-being. This role is pivotal in supporting families through difficult transitions and ensuring that young individuals lead happier, healthier lives.

Qualifications\n

• Hold a Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possess current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of New York.

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the mental health disorders common among children and adolescents, as well as familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Show proficiency in delivering individual and family therapy sessions tailored to young clients.

• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills while employing a compassionate, child-centered approach in therapy.

• Have the ability to build a trusting rapport with children, adolescents, and their families, fostering a supportive therapeutic atmosphere.

• Be adept in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant healthcare applications.

• Work effectively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
