Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments through telehealth platforms to identify individual client needs and develop personalized treatment strategies.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, during virtual sessions for individuals and families.

• Facilitate and lead online psychoeducational and support groups to foster community and share coping mechanisms for common mental health issues.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a holistic approach to each client’s care, effectively communicating about treatment plans and client progress.

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring clients have immediate support during mental health emergencies through rapid response systems.

• Educate clients about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and resources within the community to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client progress and treatment in alignment with legal and ethical standards using accredited electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and educational workshops to enhance professional development and team cohesion.

• Stay informed on the latest research, best practices, and therapeutic advancements in mental health care to consistently improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from children to adults, dealing with a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other emotional and behavioral disorders. This diverse population allows counselors to expand their skill set and adapt therapeutic techniques to meet the individual needs of each client, fostering resilience and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New York State.

• Thorough understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and modern therapeutic approaches.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting in-depth mental health assessments and crafting effective treatment plans tailored to diverse populations.

• Proven abilities in conducting both individual and group therapy remotely, using telehealth technologies.

• Competency in using electronic health record systems and various software applications related to counseling practice.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
