We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Black Stone Diagnostic and Counseling Center in North Greece, New York. Work Environment\n

This is a remote role that combines the convenience of working from home with the dynamic nature of outpatient counseling. Our team operates from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential for occasional evening shifts based on patient requirements. You will leverage technology to engage with patients, manage therapy sessions, and maintain documentation efficiently using our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately identify the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans that consider each patient's developmental stage and familial circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to address a wide range of mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping caregivers with strategies to foster a nurturing environment for their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and holistic care delivery.

• Provide crisis intervention services and emotional support during urgent mental health situations to ensure the safety and stability of young patients.

• Educate patients and families about mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and available community resources to empower them.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings and case discussions to enhance treatment strategies and share insights with colleagues.

• Stay updated on current research and clinical practices in child and adolescent mental health to continuously improve service quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents, helping them navigate various mental health issues that impact their emotional well-being and daily functioning. Some common conditions you will address include anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and behavioral issues. You will play a vital role in supporting not just the patients, but also their families as they seek to understand and manage these challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• You must possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Experience in delivering individual therapy and family therapy to young patients.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and child-centered care.

• Proven ability to build rapport and establish trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Familiarity with electronic health records and computer systems for documentation and treatment tracking.

• A collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
