Non-Credit Instructor - Phlebotomy

The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department of Middlesex College invites applications for part‑time, non‑credit instructors to teach Phlebotomy. Important: A non‑credit instructor is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates will teach courses in the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department. Primary Responsibilities Teach 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday) and provide a one (1) day externship orientation. Cover subject areas: Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology; safe collection of blood and other specimens; venipuncture technique; basic laboratory procedures. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous teaching experience. Experience teaching adult learners. Three (3) years of experience working as a Phlebotomy Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician. Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician. Ability to teach in Edison, New Brunswick, or Perth Amboy. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Familiarity with teaching online via Zoom and/or Canvas. Experience teaching in higher education.
