Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care by observing accepted medical protocols and ethical guidelines, ensuring the rights and needs of patients are met.
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, medical history reviews, and immunization updates for students.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary health team, ensuring alignment with school policies.
• Educate students and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions through counseling and teaching.
• Guide and supervise allied nursing personnel in delivering quality patient care while assigning tasks that match their competencies.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain professional licensure and competence; share knowledge with colleagues.
• Engage in community outreach programs and health fairs to promote wellness initiatives within the school and local community.
• Document patient interactions accurately and maintain electronic health records compliant with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily focus on the pediatric population within the school setting, addressing a variety of health concerns from routine wellness check-ups to chronic disease management. You will work closely with students of diverse backgrounds, including those with special healthcare needs, ensuring that each child receives personalized and culturally sensitive care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with a Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice preferred.
• National certification from American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is mandatory.
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment, demonstrating strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Current US work authorization is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a school or pediatric clinical setting is highly valued.
• Prior experience in providing healthcare education to students and families is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload responsibilities.
