Administrative Coordinator, Creative Company Overview Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum documents and interprets the history of country music—a musical genre and culture central to the identity of the city, the state, and the nation. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the museum proudly combines subject expertise, ambitious research, and preservation of an unparalleled collection with expressions of creativity in music, art, and history. The museum collects artifacts that illustrate the evolving history and traditions of country music while providing diverse learning opportunities. The core exhibit follows the story of country music from its folk beginnings through its emergence as a commercial art form. Rotating exhibits examine a broad range of topics, from country classics to ultra‑contemporary and emerging artists in American Currents. The museum owns Hatch Show Print, a letterpress print shop opened in 1879, and it operates Historic RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley and many others recorded. Our overall goal is to perpetuate the mission of the Museum. The Creative Department interacts with nearly all other departments such as Education, Programming, Events, Development, Retail, Ticketed events, and Dining. Position Overview The Administrative Coordinator will report to the Director of Creative Project Management and be responsible for supporting the Creative Department in all administrative work. This position will also support the Senior Director of Creative with email and calendar management and office organization. They will assist the project management team by running a variety of ongoing creative initiatives that will include the scheduling, execution, and delivery of projects from start to finish. This position requires excellent organizational skills, discretion, superior communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Candidates will be subject to a background check and confidentiality agreement. Specific Duties Include Provide general administrative support, such as filing, setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies Scheduling and calendar management (internal and external) on behalf of Creative leadership Compiling and tracking department expense reports and submitting POs Attend meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items to ensure deadlines are met across the creative department Facilitate departmental and interdepartmental communications Proactively follows up on action items to ensure deadlines are met Support with various project management tasks, including running some recurring projects Assist in organizing and implementing special projects and events to contribute to a supportive and engaging team culture Assist in onboarding employees Minimum Requirements College degree (Associates or Bachelors) in a related field; or equivalent work experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Ability to multitask and prioritize An understanding of deadline‑driven assignments Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Preferred Qualifications 1 – 2 years of administrative or Project Management experience preferred Key Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Superior organizational skills High level of discretion Ability to work quickly, accurately, and efficiently Ability to effectively prioritize all tasks Follow through and attention to detail Strong people interaction skills and professionalism A proactive approach to problem‑solving with strong decision‑making skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal direction Note to Applicants The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is an equal opportunity employer.
