Work Environment\n

The School Mental Health setting offers a unique opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and other mental health professionals. The role is predominantly remote, providing flexibility, but will also require occasional on-site presence to engage with students and staff directly. Our work hours are typically Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of evening shifts, rotating weekends, and on-call availability to ensure responsive mental health support during crises.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, evaluating their personal histories, current concerns, and specific risk factors.

• Collaborate with students to develop personalized treatment plans, focusing on mental health issues, emotional wellness, and successful school integration.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to individual student needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, promoting personal growth and effective coping strategies to handle emotional challenges.

• Work in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners to ensure comprehensive care and a holistic treatment approach.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention by utilizing de-escalation techniques and, when necessary, making appropriate referrals for further care.

• Offer psychoeducation resources to students and their families, guiding them to understand mental health conditions and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes compliant with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance collaboration and share insights on student progress and strategies.

• Stay updated on relevant mental health laws, ethical guidelines, and best practices within school environments to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be the student population at our private school in Fountain Hills, Arizona. You will work with a diverse group of children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues and trauma-related symptoms. Your role will be instrumental in fostering a supportive environment that empowers students to openly address their mental health needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Arizona.

Compensation and Benefits\n
