We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth in the integrated drug discovery sector. This role involves managing and expanding client relationships and opportunities in the Boston/Cambridge area, leveraging a comprehensive suite of services to meet client needs.

About the Role:

• Collaborate with a globally distributed team to drive business development initiatives and achieve corporate growth objectives in your designated territory.
• Engage with clients from academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors, utilizing a deep understanding of the drug discovery and development process.
• Manage the entire sales cycle, from forecasting to sales execution and support, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
• Provide leadership and mentorship within the commercial team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote and sell an extensive portfolio of drug discovery services, including synthetic chemistry, scale-up, robotics/automation labs, ADC, peptides, and computational/medicinal chemistry design.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, nurturing existing accounts to maximize profitability and growth.
• Develop strategic plans to enhance market penetration and expand client base in the designated region.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or hands-on drug discovery work with a desire to transition into sales.
• In-depth knowledge of synthetic/medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical development processes.
• Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
