Education and Experience Required
Level I:
Equivalent to two years of college level course work from an accredited college or university, with classes in public administration, political science, business administration, economics or a related field and one year of responsible experience in office management, administrative analysis, personnel management, budgetary analysis, or accounting. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis. Level II (in addition to the above):
Two years of responsible administrative experience at a level equivalent to Nevada County's classification of Administrative Assistant I. License and Certificates:
Possession of a valid driver's license within 30 days of hire. A valid Class C driver's license must be maintained throughout employment in this class to perform the essential functions of the position. Some positions may require typing at a net rate of 40 wpm. Some positions must submit to and pass a medical examination and a background investigation.
