Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and coordinate systematically implemented behavioral health services.

• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal behavioral healthcare programs to ensure compliance and best practices.

• Communicate regularly with multidisciplinary team members, primary care providers, and health center patients to facilitate effective treatment.

• Ensure adherence to mental health policies and procedures within the behavioral health program, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.

• Evaluate and assess clients promptly and courteously through initial intakes, addressing their immediate therapeutic needs.

• Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed, demonstrating mature judgment in urgent situations.

• Refer clients with severe mental health conditions that require inpatient or specialized care to appropriate external agencies.

• Identify patients at risk for substance abuse, including prescription and illicit drugs, offering counseling or referrals to needed resources.
