Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney in Farmington Hills, MI. The role involves representing insurers and policyholders in complex legal matters, including personal injury protection claims and coverage disputes. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, engaging in all stages of litigation to protect client interests. Duties Represent insurers and policyholders in first-party and third-party insurance defense litigation. Analyze complex legal and factual issues to develop effective litigation strategies. Manage discovery efforts, including drafting responses and preparing expert witnesses. Draft motions, briefs, and other court filings. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver outstanding client service. Requirements 2+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation; PIP experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively. Experience with depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. Demonstrated problem-solving ability and results-oriented mindset. Strong academic credentials. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan. Skills Excellent analytical and research skills. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
