Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of students and their families, identifying emotional, social, and environmental challenges related to their diagnoses and life situations.

• Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize various therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Facilitate discharge planning, ensuring patients receive appropriate follow-up care and support after hospitalization or therapeutic interventions.

• Provide education and counseling to students and their families about strategies for coping with illness, stress, or transitions in their lives.

• Utilize crisis intervention techniques and administer both brief and long-term therapies, including individual, group, and family formats.
\n
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, sharing insights and strategies that promote holistic care for students.
\n
• Engage in outreach initiatives, providing community education and resources focused on mental health awareness and support for cancer survivors and related challenges.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training, continually enhancing skills in psychosocial oncology and other relevant areas.

• Serve as a mentor or resource to other practitioners, contributing to an environment of shared knowledge and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on students in a school environment, addressing a wide range of psychological, emotional, and social issues. The LCSW will support students facing academic and personal challenges, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. By creating a safe therapeutic environment, the LCSW enables students to express their needs and develop effective coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• Strong understanding of social work ethics, policies, and practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
