Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including preliminary interviews, to document client histories from initial consultation through the entire treatment journey.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, utilizing appropriate screening tools and interviews to gather relevant information.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for various demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging therapeutic sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing and growth.
\n
• Monitor and track client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to enhance outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create integrated intervention strategies for clients.

• Establish follow-up protocols with medical professionals for clients who may require hospitalization or ongoing medical care.
\n
• Identify risk factors and behaviors that may hinder recovery, proactively addressing these challenges with clients.

• Provide support and educational resources to client families and primary caregivers, equipping them to navigate mental health challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT in California.

• Successful completion of relevant examinations, including the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n
• A proven track record of previous experience in a mental health counseling role.

• Proficiency in managing electronic health record systems, with familiarity in AVATAR being highly desirable.
\n
• A strong understanding of mental health conditions including addiction and co-occurring disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with outstanding interpersonal skills that foster strong therapeutic alliances.

• Experience working in community health settings or clinics, particularly serving diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
