Mood Dynamics Counseling Center, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote position offers the opportunity to provide specialized mental health care primarily to individuals impacted by trauma.

While outpatient services are predominantly virtual, you will occasionally have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and attend team meetings in person. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history, drawing on their experiences to tailor therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, ensuring that interventions are evidence-based and aligned with the latest best practices.

• Provide therapeutic services such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to effectively address trauma-related symptoms.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions designed to aid patients in processing their trauma, managing distressing emotions, and building effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calming presence and effective problem-solving skills.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, fostering a supportive environment both in and out of therapy.
\n
• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical standards as well as organizational policies.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to optimize treatment approaches and enhance professional knowledge.
\n
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of our services is on individuals who have experienced trauma. This includes those with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, as well as their families. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving the mental and emotional health of vulnerable populations, making a profound impact in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health therapy.
\n
• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Competency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to cultivate a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic rapport.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to therapy documentation and treatment planning.
\n
• Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with various therapeutic techniques such as EMDR and TF-CBT is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of resilience-building strategies and their application in therapy.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
