Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to gauge the severity and implications of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized tools and clinical judgement.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that are responsive to their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment and promote recovery.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment modalities, and self-care strategies to empower them in their healing journey.

• Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide coordinated care that addresses the comprehensive needs of our clients.

• Stay current with developments in the field of mental health therapy to ensure the highest standards of care.

• Maintain accurate, confidential client records and treatment documentation in alignment with industry standards and regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. Our diverse clientele encompasses a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and experiences, requiring a tailored approach to therapy that respects individual narratives and cultural contexts.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.

• Proven track record of successful client outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders.
