This position is fully remote, offering flexibility to work from your own environment while engaging directly with clients through teletherapy sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a person-centered approach.

• Collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans based on individual client needs, goals, and preferences, employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their health.

• Actively participate in various team meetings, case consultations, and professional development to enhance personal skills and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, including both individual advocacy and broader efforts to combat mental health stigmatization.

• Ensure that all session records are maintained accurately and confidentially, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Many of our clients are from vulnerable populations, such as individuals who have experienced homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your role will crucially involve providing therapeutic support that addresses both their mental health and life circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and active Illinois state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
