Work Environment

This position is an onsite role based in Henrietta, New York, and operates primarily on weekdays with established hours from Monday to Friday, culminating at 5:00 PM. You will work in an environment that fosters teamwork, open communication, and professional growth, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to provide integrative and comprehensive care to patients. This role may also involve house calls, enhancing the personalized care experience.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations to assess patient health and orthopedic conditions.
• Ordering, interpreting, and analyzing diagnostic tests such as blood tests and imaging studies, including X-rays.
• Diagnosing various health conditions, particularly related to orthopedic concerns and recommending appropriate treatment plans.
• Implementing evidence-based interventions for the management of chronic and acute orthopedic conditions.
• Prescribing medications and monitoring patient responses to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records and patient schedules, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with healthcare regulations.
• Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatment guidelines, and prevention strategies.
• Promoting patient engagement in their own health and wellness to improve adherence to treatment plans.
• Participating in professional development and clinical research initiatives to further enhance expertise and contribute to service improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be predominantly working with adult patients, addressing a wide range of orthopedic issues including injury prevention, rehabilitation, surgical referrals, and chronic pain management. Your role is essential in not only treating conditions but also in advocating for preventative measures that empower patients to take charge of their health and lead more active, fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.
• Completion of a Certified Nurse Practitioner program with an emphasis on orthopedic or primary care medicine.
• Active DEA number.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong clinical skills and an ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional communication skills to provide comprehensive education to patients and families.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with proven experience in orthopedic care or related specialties such as urgent care or family health. Experience in a primary care or clinical setting will be highly advantageous. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as this can enhance communication with our diverse patient population.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 based on experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
