Key Responsibilities
- Collect, verify, and audit employee timekeeping data
- Calculate payroll, including regular hours, overtime, leaves, bonuses, and commissions
- Process payroll through ADP, including reporting and issue resolution
- Manage payroll taxes, statutory deductions, and withholdings
- Initiate timely payroll payments via direct deposit or other approved payment methods
- Maintain and update payroll records, including pay rate changes and employee status updates
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management
- Stay current on changes to payroll tax laws, labor regulations, and statutory requirements
- Coordinate closely with Human Resources and Accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of payroll processing experience
- Hands-on experience using ADP for payroll execution, reporting, and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of payroll taxes, statutory deductions, and labor laws
- Experience supporting payroll operations in a healthcare environment (strongly preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills for payroll data management and reporting
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent numerical accuracy and data validation abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Effective communication skills for working with employees, leadership, and external agencies
- Ability to manage large volumes of payroll data accurately and efficiently
- Fully onsite role based in Jamaica, NY
- Fast-paced healthcare setting with strict compliance and accuracy requirements
