Work Environment

This role is primarily based in the homes of our patients across Ashburn, allowing for a flexible work setting. The Physical Therapist will operate predominantly onsite, translating clinical expertise into compassionate care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations by reviewing patient histories and performing comprehensive assessments to guide treatment decisions.
• Communicate evaluation results and tailored treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, actively involving them in goal-setting for recovery.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols that are specific to each patient's needs and adapt as their condition evolves.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care, addressing any changes in the patient's condition with timely modifications to the care plan.
• Document patient care activities meticulously, including initial evaluations, daily notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge plans to maintain high standards of care and accountability.
• Manage time efficiently to meet productivity goals, maintain an organized schedule, and ensure timely attendance at meetings and patient appointments.
• Participate in community marketing initiatives and contribute to departmental objectives, aligning with regulatory standards to enhance service delivery.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay current in the field of physical therapy, and act as a mentor for students or new staff.
• Foster a patient-centered culture by promoting accessibility in care and working to remove barriers to treatment as part of our commitment to quality improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work primarily with a diverse range of patients requiring rehabilitation across various settings, including elderly individuals, post-operative patients, and those with chronic pain or mobility issues. We prioritize holistic care, ensuring that each patient feels heard, valued, and supported throughout their healing journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required.
• Valid physical therapy license issued by the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
