Experienced Physical Therapist for Orthopedic Outpatient Practice in Alexandria, VA

We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Physio Recovery Center in Alexandria, Virginia. Our facility spans over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art sports medicine technology. We primarily work with private medical insurance carriers to provide our patients with exceptional rehabilitation services, focusing on innovative treatment solutions and personalized care.

Work Environment

This full-time position is located onsite at our Alexandria office, where you will collaborate with a close-knit team of two other physical therapists and one physical therapy aide. Our work environment fosters professional development and the sharing of best practices, creating a supportive atmosphere conducive to high-quality patient care. You will work five days a week, from Monday to Friday, with regular hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' goals and needs, establishing tailored treatment plans to meet those objectives.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, providing one-on-one attention to ensure effective recovery strategies are implemented.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise programs, aimed at improving patient mobility.
• Lead discussions with patients regarding their treatment progress and motivate them to adhere to their rehabilitation strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, ensuring that treatments align with patients' medical histories and current health conditions.
• Document patient care services accurately in electronic medical records system (EMR), such as WebPT, tracking progress and modifying care plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Your goal will be to empower these individuals to regain their functional abilities and return to their everyday activities in the best possible physical condition.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist License, with verification of no board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription are essential.
• Proficient in utilizing EMR software such as WebPT for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with evaluating and treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions will greatly benefit your practice.
• A background in sports medicine or advanced therapeutic techniques can enhance treatment outcomes for our patients.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and education.
