About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of permanent experience in specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 12 months of experience in the specialty applying for - Active certifications required at time of submission - Reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor or director in the specialty applying for - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments required during orientation Description: Registered Nurse for Med/Surg Tele. Potential to float to different units to care for the same patient population. D/N rotating shift: night and day shifts. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs. Must have experience in the specialty applying for. Active Ohio or compact license required. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Traveler must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate scoring assessments will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. In case of any background hits, the facility reviews but does not accept travelers with open cases. Travelers must be nicotine-free, excluding exempt positions. Negative drug screens are required within 12 months of start. Candidates who have previously worked for the facility cannot return for 1 year from their last end date. Extensions up to 18 months are allowed, followed by a required break. Annual hands-on competency is mandatory for continuous contract nurses.
