Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and families to identify unique needs and challenges.

• Provide individual and family therapy sessions utilizing therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s circumstances.
\n
• Manage comprehensive documentation including billing, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring completion within designated timeframes to comply with insurance and regulatory requirements.

• Develop individualized crisis intervention plans, safety plans, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans to foster ongoing client stability.
\n
• Prepare discharge plans when clients transition out of services, focusing on sustaining recovery gains and community integration.
\n
• Adhere to all relevant state and federal laws, ethical guidelines, and Inspire Wellness policies to ensure compliant practice.
\n
• Commit to ongoing professional development through training and continuing education opportunities to remain competent and current in the field.
\n
• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings to ensure collaborative care and effective treatment planning.
\n
• Complete all licensure requirements and mandatory training as stipulated by the state and the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. This may range from anxiety and depression to more complex mental health conditions. Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required, fulfilling the educational criteria for licensure.

• Licensure: You must hold appropriate licensure (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) to practice as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred, with demonstrated competency in providing therapeutic interventions.
