Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments to better understand the needs of students with various special requirements.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for conditions such as ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and trauma, utilizing well-researched modalities.

• Engage in collaborative efforts with other professionals, participating in case discussions and team meetings to ensure holistic support for students.

• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, applying sound judgment and behavioral strategies to address urgent needs.

• Deliver psychoeducation to students and their families regarding mental health issues and the resources available to them.

• Maintain clear and accurate documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will work primarily with students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and trauma-related issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid LCSW licensure in the state of Connecticut.
