About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of physician services and medical staff administration. The CMO will be responsible for establishing and implementing standards and policies to ensure the quality of medical care, partnering with Chief Nursing Officers for multidisciplinary approaches to clinical outcome management, and serving as the primary community resource for medical and administrative matters. This role is pivotal in building effective relationships between the hospital and its medical staff to achieve excellence in clinical outcomes. The successful candidate will be a change agent, demonstrating boldness in thought and action, and will be expected to have a personal and professional connection to the mission of the faith-based organization. Candidates for the CMO position at the company should have a minimum of five years' experience in the delivery of physician services and medical staff administration, with a proven track record in healthcare leadership. Essential qualifications include being board certified in an approved clinical specialty, an MD or DO with a current and unrestricted medical license, and knowledge of Joint Commission, managed care, and health policy. A Master's in business administration and experience in medical staff relations, quality measurement, and credentialing are preferred. The role requires a leader who is a team player, contributes to a team-centered approach, and is committed to the mission of the organization. Personal and professional accountability, as well as the ability to invite others into the mission and community health work, are also key attributes for the CMO.
