The Special Care Behavioral Treatment Group is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team at our outpatient facility located in Haverstraw, New York. Work Environment

Our Haverstraw office offers an onsite clinical setting that promotes teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and support staff, enabling seamless communication and coordination of patient care. The facility is equipped with advanced technologies and tools to enhance patient assessment and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of established standards of care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Conduct thorough assessments, including taking comprehensive medical, surgical, and psychosocial histories, and performing detailed physical examinations that document both positive and negative findings.
• Order and analyze diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests and imaging, using clinical judgment to formulate differential diagnoses based on patient data.
• Coordinate patient care through facilitating hospital admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring that inpatient and outpatient needs are met and that appropriate home care arrangements are established.
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes, care management, and coping strategies to empower them to take an active role in their treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population that includes individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds facing a range of behavioral health challenges. Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
• Graduation from an accredited Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program.
• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a flexible work environment, handling varying patient loads and scheduling needs.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in behavioral health settings is highly preferred, enabling you to approach patient care with a deep understanding of mental health issues.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload.
