Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, reviewing patient histories and performing specific assessments to design effective treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment strategies clearly to patients and their families, encouraging their involvement in goal setting and treatment progress.
• Implement treatment protocols effectively, adapting to each patient's unique presentation and needs, and remaining responsive to changing healthcare dynamics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient care, recognizing and documenting any changes in condition that might necessitate plan modifications.
• Conduct thorough discharge planning and follow-up care, maintaining accurate and legible documentation regarding patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Manage your time effectively to meet productivity expectations while adhering to an organized schedule.
• Engage in hospital and community marketing activities to help raise awareness of our services and enhance community health.
• Contribute actively to departmental goals, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards set forth by accrediting bodies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those managing chronic conditions, and clients seeking rehabilitation after injuries. Your approach to care will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, enhancing their quality of life through expert therapeutic interventions tailored to their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid and current physical therapy license as required by Virginia law.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Prior work experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for new graduates.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
