Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or facilitate group therapy sessions within our outpatient setting, providing personalized support to each client.

• Utilize evidence-based techniques for anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) or physical aggression.
\n
• Assist families in enhancing their decision-making abilities to address in-home behavioral challenges effectively.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team, including mental health professionals and educators, to ensure cohesive support for clients and their families.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within prescribed time frames.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing insights and recommendations to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children aged 3-20 who are confronted with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will work collaboratively with their families to foster supportive environments and promote positive outcomes. By addressing the unique needs of each child and engaging caregivers, you will contribute to their overall growth and mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory to practice therapy.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with additional weekend flexibility being an advantage.
\n
• Experience in providing positive behavior support and behavioral intervention strategies is essential.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for potential home visitations.
\n
• The ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a strong plus.

• Previous involvement in community service or outreach programs related to mental health is highly regarded.

• Familiarity with therapeutic tools and methodologies relevant to in-home therapy settings is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
