Legal Assistant $18 - $22 per hour | Charleston, SC | On-Site | Permanent Fast-paced, team-oriented legal office seeking a detail-driven Legal Assistant to support real estate closings and front office operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys multitasking, and takes pride in accuracy and client service. Key Responsibilities Serve as the front office point of contact, greeting clients and managing incoming communications Answer, screen, and direct phone calls with professionalism and efficiency Coordinate appointments, meetings, and closing schedules Assist with real estate closing files, including document preparation, scanning, and disbursement of funds Request and gather required documentation in accordance with contract terms Review legal documents for accuracy and completeness prior to attorney approval Maintain an organized and professional reception area and office environment Support general administrative functions including filing, copying, and data entry Monitor office supply inventory and coordinate restocking as needed Ensure adherence to office procedures and confidentiality standards Qualifications & Skills Prior experience in a legal, administrative, or office support role Real estate closing experience strongly preferred Familiarity with SoftPro or similar closing software is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor with strong client service skills Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable mindset Ideal Candidate Profile Detail-oriented and process-driven Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities Strong team player with a supportive, positive attitude Takes ownership of responsibilities and follows through Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
