Corporate Accountant

A very large global manufacturing company is looking for a corporate accountant to work at their North American headquarters located in the Wayne, PA area, about 30 miles west of Philadelphia. The successful candidate will be a key member of the accounting and reporting services team at the company and will support the general ledger and financial reporting service requirements of one or more of its manufacturing units. The position's key responsibilities are assisting with the monthly closing procedures including preparing journal entries and monthly reconciliations. Detailed responsibilities include monthly close, journal entry processing, month end account reconciliations, accounting system comprehension, internal financial reporting, audit and taxation compliance support, participation in accounting related projects. Total compensation for this position includes base salary together with annual bonus and excellent benefits. Requirements for the position include the following:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required; CPA is preferred.
• 3-6 years general accounting experience in a corporate (not public) accounting environment is required; experience with the monthly closing procedures including preparing journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Experience with integrated accounting systems is required - JDEdwards, BPCS and SAP highly preferred.
• Excel skills required & pivot table skill desired.
• About 10% - 15% travel to company locations (US / Canada) is required.
• Local candidates are preferred. Candidates must be citizens or U.S permanent residents.
