This position is primarily remote, designed for flexibility to accommodate the individual needs of both our counselors and clients. Although remote, we maintain a multidisciplinary outpatient office setting where communication with fellow professionals—such as psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers—can occur seamlessly. Our digital tools, including electronic health record systems like AVATAR, enable effective documentation and tracking of client progress to ensure quality care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, covering psychosocial histories and current mental status, while ensuring thorough documentation from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Identify individual client needs and develop personalized, actionable treatment plans that may incorporate various therapeutic modalities tailored to individual, family, or group dynamics.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to encourage emotional expression, behavioral change, and mindset shifts.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and observed behaviors.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, adhering to interdisciplinary intervention plans while contributing to a holistic view of each client's health.
\n
• Manage referrals and follow-ups for clients requiring additional services or hospitalization, working with physicians and psychiatrists to ensure continuity of care.

• Educate and support family members and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to effectively manage any ongoing mental health challenges.

• Utilize telehealth tools to maintain regular contact and deliver therapy sessions where appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice serves a broad array of clients, ranging from children and adolescents to adults facing a spectrum of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Tennessee.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in using electronic health records systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear client documentation.

• Strong interpersonal abilities complemented by a compassionate and sympathetic approach to counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in outpatient settings.

• Experience working with clients experiencing co-occurring physical ailments and emotional health disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their implications for mental health.
