Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct regular counseling sessions with clients, focusing on their emotional and mental health needs. You will meet weekly with clients to assess their progress and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.

• Utilize your expertise in clinical assessment and treatment planning to create personalized therapy strategies. This includes both individual and group therapy for seniors facing challenges such as dementia, cognitive decline, and other mental health issues.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, sharing insights and strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness of treatment provided to clients and their families.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to remain current with mental health practices and regulations, ensuring compliance with ethical standards in all interactions.

• Document client interactions and treatment plans through our electronic health records system, contributing to a streamlined workflow that supports effective patient management.

• Respond proactively to clients' needs, ensuring culturally sensitive, professional, and ethical care in every interaction.

• Participate in team meetings and case discussions to enhance the understanding of multidisciplinary impacts on patient care.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the needs of the practice and its clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary client focus will be on geriatric patients. You will provide critical counseling services that address their unique emotional and cognitive challenges, working to improve their quality of life and that of their family members. Qualifications\n

• A valid license in the District of Columbia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

• A Bachelor's degree in a human services related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, crucial for effective therapy practices and documentation.

• Strong understanding of clinical work theory and practice, especially as it pertains to the elderly population.

Compensation and Benefits\n
