Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to understand the mental health needs of patients and their families.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that may include various therapeutic modalities, ranging from cognitive-behavioral therapy to supportive counseling, tailored to the unique experiences of cancer patients.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines as mandated by professional standards and state laws.

• Engage in regular collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including oncologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care and effective communication.

• Facilitate therapeutic support groups to provide patients and caregivers with a community of understanding and resources.

• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and stay informed about the latest best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients, primarily focusing on cancer patients at different stages of their treatment—diagnosis, ongoing management, recurrence, and survivorship. Your expertise will also extend to their families, providing them with the support and understanding necessary to navigate the emotional landscape of their loved one's experience. Your work is essential to improving the quality of life and emotional health of those affected by cancer.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.

• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.

• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 105,000 per year, based on experience and caseload.
