As a remote position, the Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily interact with clients via secure telehealth technologies. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and assessments to understand clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

• Document client interactions and treatment plans meticulously, ensuring continuity of care from initial consultation to progress evaluations.

• Develop individualized, evidence-based intervention strategies that cater to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering emotional resilience and behavioral change.
\n
• Monitor client progress through regular assessment and feedback mechanisms, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention programs.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers to assist in managing mental health challenges effectively.
\n
• Utilize best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association and remain current with the latest advancements in psychotherapy.

• Follow up with clients recently hospitalized or transferred to ensure thorough post-discharge care and continuity.
\n
• Maintain an ethical practice consistent with state licensure requirements and confidentiality protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be serving clients of various ages, backgrounds, and mental health needs, including those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our inclusive approach aims to create a safe space for individuals to express their thoughts and feelings freely.

Qualifications\n

• An accredited Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• A current, valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for maintaining client documentation and progress notes.
\n
• Extensive knowledge and experience in handling co-occurring mental health and addiction challenges.
\n
• Strong understanding of the pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical doctors.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on empathy and active listening.
\n
• A deep commitment to ethical counseling practices and ongoing professional education.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a telehealth environment is highly desirable, especially with clients presenting complex mental health issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
