Full-Time
SALT Patisserie is looking for an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Pastry Sous Chef to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who is not only a strong pastry cook, but also a leader. Someone who takes pride in their work, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and can help lead our pastry team while maintaining the quality and consistency SALT is known for.
Responsibilities
Assist Pastry Chef with daily pastry and bakery production
Help lead, train, and support the pastry team
Oversee production and ensure items are completed correctly and on schedule
Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all products
Work hands-on with laminated doughs, viennoiseries, cakes, creams, breads, fillings, and other pastry production
Help organize daily prep and production lists
Monitor inventory and communicate ingredient and production needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
Help enforce recipes, procedures, food safety, and SALT standards
Troubleshoot production issues and help keep the kitchen running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
Professional pastry or bakery experience required
Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of pastry techniques and production
Viennoiserie and laminated dough experience is a plus
Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Dependable, punctual, and able to lead by example
Positive attitude and willingness to teach and develop others
Someone who genuinely cares about quality and consistency
