Key Responsibilities

• Direct the administration of physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability and relieving pain while restoring muscle function.
• Evaluate patients' functional levels using diagnostic tests to create tailored treatment plans that align with their specific rehabilitation goals.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants in executing the established plan of care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assess patients' home environments for rehabilitation appropriateness and suggest modifications to promote greater independence.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, including manual and non-manual activities, guiding patients in functional tasks that enhance their physical abilities.
• Utilize physical agents such as traction and massage for pain relief and rehabilitation, adapting techniques as necessary.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices in accordance with patient needs and collaborate with physicians on necessary modifications.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and collaboratively develop care plans.
• Closely monitor and document patients' responses to therapy, reporting significant changes to physicians and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Provide instructional resources to patients and their families regarding physical therapy techniques and device usage to encourage active participation in their recovery.

Your role will largely involve working with patients suffering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and mobility impairments. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida.

Compensation and Benefits

New Balance Movement Physical Therapy offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
