Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center in Tallahassee combines advanced therapeutic techniques with compassionate care in an onsite setting. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced and supportive environment, engaging with colleagues who share a commitment to patient care excellence. Weekly scheduled hours average 40 hours, with variability during weekends to meet patient needs. This structure allows for a balance between work responsibilities and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients presenting with functional limitations and disabilities related to orthopedic conditions.
• Develop, implement, and modify comprehensive treatment plans, tailored to the individual needs and progress of each patient.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless continuity of care across various settings.
• Conduct regular re-evaluations to assess patient progress and adjust treatment protocols accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members, fostering a collaborative approach to treatment and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all evaluations, treatments, and pertinent communications to comply with all regulatory standards.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including physical therapy aides and students, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality care.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives and participate in departmental leadership roles, contributing to quality improvement and program development.
• Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, enhancing professional development through ongoing education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this role will be on a diverse patient population suffering from a variety of orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. It is essential to approach each patient with a holistic perspective, considering their unique cultural backgrounds and personal circumstances to provide empathetic and effective care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy are encouraged to apply.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and patient education.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
