Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while ensuring you can comfortably provide care from your home environment. Our telehealth facility is equipped with the latest technology to facilitate effective virtual sessions, fostering a collaborative atmosphere among our therapists and clients. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis to accommodate clients’ schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, including evaluating severity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that incorporate their individual needs, goals, and preferences.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective interventions.

• Offer education and ongoing support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment possibilities, and strategies for self-care.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout therapy sessions and adjust treatment approaches as necessary to optimize effectiveness.

• Work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to mental health care.

• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance the quality of care delivered.

• Accurately maintain detailed and confidential records of client sessions, assessments, and treatment progress in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights, discuss challenges, and enhance professional development.

• Act as an advocate for clients, promoting awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mood disorders in the community.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Proven experience in the mental health field, particularly with mood disorders.
\n
• Strong knowledge and competency in evidence-based treatment approaches, specifically CBT and DBT.
\n
• Familiarity with psychopharmacological treatments and collaboration with psychiatrists.
\n
• Effective communication skills that enable rapport-building with a diverse client population.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a specialization in mood disorders is preferred.

• A documented history of achieving successful treatment outcomes with clients facing mood-related challenges.
