Work Environment\n

This position offers a full-time remote work setup with the opportunity to engage in an outpatient mental health facility. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the varying needs of our clients. While the majority of your interactions will be virtual, our team fosters a strong culture of collaboration and continuous learning through regular online meetings, case discussions, and cultural competency training.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to identify patients' unique needs, backgrounds, and experiences, which form the basis for personalized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapies tailored to individual patients, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices while considering cultural nuances.

• Provide therapeutic support through individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address and navigate mental health challenges effectively, promoting resilience and overall emotional well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals involved in patient care to ensure a holistic approach to treatment that encourages comprehensive recovery.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring they receive the necessary support in times of need.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources that can assist in their recovery process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of treatment plans and progress notes, in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively engage in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and share insights, contributing to a cohesive understanding of each patient's care plan.

• Commit to ongoing professional development and stay informed about current trends and best practices in mental health therapy, particularly regarding cultural competency.

You will be primarily serving a diverse population, including individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. This role requires an understanding of the specific cultural and socioeconomic factors that influence mental health in these communities. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Virginia.

• A strong grasp of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, as well as a commitment to providing culturally informed care.

• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy sessions with a culturally responsive approach to various patient populations.

• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills and the ability to navigate high-stress situations while remaining calm and focused.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with a wide range of individuals.

• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with other relevant technology.

• A commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries in therapeutic relationships.

Compensation and Benefits\n
