The Role At Gradial, we’re building AI that transforms how enterprise marketing teams create, manage, and scale content. As a Business Development Representative, you’ll play a critical role in introducing that vision to the market by creating opportunities with some of the world’s leading brands. This is not a traditional activity-driven BDR role. We’re looking for someone who knows how to find signal where others see noise, who uses AI as a force multiplier, and who is excited to build pipeline through thoughtful research, personalized outreach, and genuine conversations. You’ll have the freedom to test new ideas, influence how we approach outbound, and help shape the next stage of our go-to-market strategy. As Gradial continues to grow, you’ll have opportunities to expand your career across Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, or other customer-facing teams. What You’ll Own Build pipeline by identifying high-value accounts, researching buying committees, and uncovering the business initiatives that create opportunities for meaningful conversations. Develop personalized outbound campaigns across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels that prioritize relevance over volume and quality over templates. Use AI-powered tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, and HubSpot to accelerate research, improve personalization, and continuously refine your prospecting approach. Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities through thoughtful discovery that uncovers business priorities, marketing challenges, and buying readiness. Represent Gradial at conferences, customer events, and industry networking opportunities while building relationships that generate long-term pipeline. Partner closely with Marketing and Account Executives to refine messaging, share market insights, and identify new opportunities within target accounts. Continuously test new outreach strategies, messaging, and AI-assisted workflows that improve conversion rates and help define best practices across the team. Maintain accurate account activity and pipeline data while ensuring every customer interaction sets the next stage of the sales process up for success. What We Need 2-4 years of experience in business development, sales development, or another outbound-focused SaaS sales role with a history of consistently generating qualified pipeline. Experience building your own prospect lists, identifying buying signals, and creating personalized outreach that earns responses from enterprise decision makers. Confidence engaging senior marketing, digital, operations, and business leaders through phone, email, LinkedIn, and live conversations. Hands-on experience with HubSpot, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and modern prospecting platforms. Experience incorporating AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Clay, or other LLMs into your daily workflow to improve research, productivity, and outreach quality. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas and build credibility quickly. A naturally curious, resourceful, and resilient mindset. You ask good questions, adapt quickly, embrace feedback, and look for better ways to work. Willingness to travel to conferences and industry events to build relationships and generate new business opportunities. Nice to Have Experience selling AI, enterprise SaaS, or marketing technology solutions. Familiarity with account-based sales strategies and multi-threaded prospecting. Experience in a high-growth startup where you’ve helped build and evolve outbound processes. Compensation The base salary range for this position is $125,000 – $140,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for performance-based bonuses and equity awards.
