Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with the Medical Director and/or Medical Team Administrator to coordinate comprehensive mental health treatment plans for patients both within the clinic and through external resources.

• Deliver mental health training to medical, psychiatric, and security teams to enhance their ability to support patients effectively.
\n
• Proactively intervene during mental health crises, applying de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all patients.
\n
• Attend and provide expertise during commitment hearings as required by the facility's protocols.
\n
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans and rehabilitation goals tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions, ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations and clinical standards.
\n
• Verify and document the mental health history of patients, including their current and past usage of psychotropic medications.
\n
• Prepare and submit regularly scheduled reports, as well as special reports, to track patient progress and treatment outcomes.

• Coordinate with nursing and mental health staff to facilitate post-release referrals to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of practical counseling experience, ideally in a clinical or community health setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Expertise in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually , with additional sign-on bonuses for eligible candidates.
