Work Environment\n

As a remote position, you will have the flexibility to manage your workspace while staying connected with your colleagues through virtual platforms. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the individual needs, goals, and challenges of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on the unique needs of each patient, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Provide individual counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused counseling.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, encouraging peer support and shared experiences among participants to promote healing and growth.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during substance-related emergencies or acute situations, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Actively educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery pathways, coping strategies, and local community resources to foster understanding and empowerment.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in addiction treatment.

• Stay current with emerging research and best practices related to substance use disorder treatment, integrating new findings into your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, providing care that addresses the multifaceted nature of addiction. This includes adults facing diverse challenges, such as co-occurring mental health issues, trauma history, and social stressors. By employing a holistic approach, you will empower patients to reclaim their lives and foster resilience in their recovery journey while working closely with them and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of one year of professional experience in mental health counseling, particularly in substance use disorder treatment.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities, recovery-oriented care, and clinical best practices surrounding substance use disorders.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by an empathetic, non-judgmental demeanor towards patients and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and necessary computer applications to support documentation and patient interactions.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing positively to a collaborative care environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience facilitating group therapy focused on addiction recovery or experience working with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
