Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to identify clients’ mental health concerns, strengths, and unique needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with assessment findings and client aspirations, ensuring a person-centered approach to mental health care.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, to address a variety of mental health issues.

• Continuously monitor and document clients' progress throughout therapy, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for each client.

• Advocate for clients’ rights and access to mental health resources while navigating community services to enhance care delivery.

• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards as outlined by respective licensing boards and professional associations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on clients dealing with mood disorders and other mental health conditions. Your expertise will guide individuals from diverse backgrounds seeking support to address their emotional challenges. You will engage with clients ranging from young adults to seniors, adapting therapeutic interventions to suit their unique life experiences and psychological needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of New York as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals involved in patient care.

• A proven track record of delivering successful therapeutic outcomes, particularly in treating mood disorders, along with the ability to adapt interventions based on current evidence-based practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders such as depression and anxiety preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
