Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments, documenting observations and client histories meticulously from the first consultation through treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental and emotional health by utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
\n
• Design and implement tailored intervention plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups with a focus on measurable outcomes.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and productive individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities based on client needs.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to enhance therapeutic efficacy.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to optimize client care.
\n
• Maintain regular follow-up communication with external healthcare providers regarding clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring coordinated care.
\n
• Proactively identify risk factors that may hinder client recovery and implement preventative strategies to mitigate these risks.
\n
• Provide guidance to family members and caregivers on how to support clients in managing mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor, your client base will encompass a broad range of ages and backgrounds, each facing unique mental and emotional challenges. You will work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and various behavioral issues, delivering compassionate care tailored to their specific circumstances and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
\n
• A successful passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and client engagement.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document and manage client information effectively.
\n
• Familiarity with co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions as well as addiction disorders.
\n
• Understand and apply the best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology to understand the implications of medications prescribed by other healthcare providers.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities that convey warmth and supportiveness.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a telehealth setting, demonstrating adaptability to a virtual work environment.

• Prior use of evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, or mindfulness-based approaches.

Compensation and Benefits\n
